Athletes earn AGR points within their age and gender categories across all Championship events.

Age Groups:

• Under 29

• 30-39

• 40-49

• 50-59

• 60+

• PCL (Physically Challenged Lottery)

At the end of each season, the Championship recognises outstanding athletes through the Elite Status program.

Elite Status Tiers

• Gold Status: Top 5 percent of each age group.

• Silver Status: Next 10 percent.

• Bronze Status: Next 15 percent.

Elite Status reflects consistent, world-class performance across the One Hundred® global ecosystem.

HOW POINTS ARE EARNED

AGR points are earned through a balanced scoring framework that rewards peak performance and season-long consistency.
Points are calculated using the official AGR formulas and the Global Difficulty Index (GDI).

1. Performance Based Scoring:

   • Points are awarded according to the athlete’s finish time relative to the category leader,
     adjusted by GDI to reflect true difficulty.

2. Race Categories:

   • AGR points are earned in races from the Seven Wonders Series, the Alliance Series and the Trail World Tour.
     Each race contributes points according to its GDI rating and position within the Championship structure.

3. Rate of Decline:

   • Points decrease progressively according to the percentage time gap behind the category leader.

4. Best Three Races Count:

   • Only an athlete’s three highest scoring results contribute to their Annual Global Ranking.

   • This ensures athletes are rewarded for both excellence and consistency across the season.

   • This system allows athletes across all distances to compete for global recognition while
     maintaining fairness across different terrains and race structures

Athletes in the One Hundred® Endurance Trail World Championship are ranked across multiple competitive categories, designed to recognise excellence at every endurance distance.

COMPETITIVE RANKING CATEGORIES

Athletes in the One Hundred® Ultra Trail World Championship are ranked across multiple competitive categories, designed to recognise excellence at every distance, from short and mid distance races to the longest ultra events.

1. Overall AGR (Annual Global Ranking):

   • Combines points earned across all Championship distances, including Trail World Tour, 100 km, 100 miles and 200 miles, identifying the season’s most complete endurance athletes.

2. Trail World Tour AGR:

   • Ranks performances in the short and mid-distance pathway across 10 km, 21 km, 42 km and 50 miles, highlighting rising talent and competitive excellence across the global TWT circuit.

3. 100 KM AGR:

   • Recognises athletes competing at the entry point of the ultra-distance pathway, ranking results from all 100 km Championship and qualifying races.

4. 100 Mile AGR:

   • Ranks performances achieved in 100 mile events across the Seven Wonders Series and Alliance Series, celebrating mastery of one of the classic ultra distances.

5. 200 Mile AGR:

   • Dedicated to athletes who compete in the longest Championship distance, ranking results from all 200 mile races in the global series.

   • Together, these categories ensure that every athlete — from developing competitors in the Trail World Tour to long distance specialists competing at 200 miles — is recognised for their achievement within the One Hundred® Ultra Trail World Championship framework.

POINTS CALCULATION SYSTEM

AGR points are calculated using a unified scoring model that ensures fairness across all distances and race environments. Every athlete’s score is determined through three components:

1. Global Difficulty Index (GDI) Multiplier
   Each race is assigned a GDI rating based on:

   • Total elevation

   • Distance

   • Technicality

   • Climate and environmental severity

   • Time cutoffs and support level

   A higher GDI produces a higher points multiplier.

2. Performance Points Ratio (PPR)
   PPR measures an athlete’s finish time relative to the winner in the same category:

   • PPR = Winner Time / Athlete Time

3. AGR Points Formula
   Final AGR points for each race are calculated as:

   • AGR Points = PPR × GDI × Category Weighting

   Category Weighting applies to:

   • Trail World Tour distances (10 km, 21 km, 42 km, 50 miles)

   • 100 km, 100 miles, 200 miles

   Higher distances and higher GDI races award higher AGR potential.

4. Rate of Decline
   Points decline progressively according to the percentage time gap behind the category leader, using the official AGR decline curve.

5. Best Three Races Count
   Only a runner’s top three AGR results are included in the final Annual Global Ranking.

Grand Final Points

At the One Hundred® Ultra Trail World Championship Grand Final, points are awarded using a unified system across all qualification pathways. Results from the Seven Wonders Series, the Alliance Series, and the Trail World Tour all contribute to the AGR standings, and the Grand Final determines the final ranking positions for the season.

Bonus Points for Overall AGR Winners

To recognise exceptional season-long performance, the following bonus AGR points are awarded at the Grand Final:

• 1st Place: +3 points

• 2nd Place: +2 points

• 3rd Place: +1 point

These points honour athletes who have demonstrated consistency and excellence throughout the entire Championship year.

⭐ Team Ranking System

The One Hundred® Team Ranking System celebrates collective performance, rewarding teamwork, depth, and season-long commitment across the global Championship.

Team Composition

Teams must include a minimum of two athletes and may enter one of the following divisions:

• Male Teams

• Female Teams

• Mixed Teams (declared by the team or determined by majority gender)

How Team Points Are Earned

• Team Summit Points (SP): Calculated from the two highest individual AGR results achieved by team members in each qualifying race.

• Equal Weighting Across All Race Types: SP earned in the Seven Wonders Series, Alliance Series, and Trail World Tour contribute equally according to the AGR formulas.

• Grand Final Consistency: At the Grand Final, all teams earn SP under the same scoring structure, ensuring competitive parity.

• Rate of Decline: SP decreases according to the AGR time-gap formula, matching the individual scoring methodology.

Team Rankings and Tiers

Teams are ranked globally according to their total Summit Points and are recognised within three achievement tiers:

• Gold Tier: Top 5 percent of global teams

• Silver Tier: Next 10 percent

• Bronze Tier: Next 15 percent

These tiers celebrate exceptional performance and reward teams that demonstrate depth, strategy, and season-long consistency.

Best Team Champion

The Best Team Champion title is awarded to the team whose top two athletes achieve the highest combined result at the Grand Final, recognising teamwork and excellence under peak competitive conditions.

Qualification for Team Awards

Teams must meet the following criteria to qualify for annual recognition:

• Participation in at least two qualifying races

• Only the two highest scoring team results count toward the final team standings

This approach ensures that teams of all sizes can compete fairly for global honours based on consistent, high-level performance.

Season Rankings (AGR and Summit Points)

• Rankings are based on the accumulation of points earned throughout the season.
• Individual rankings are calculated from each athlete’s top three AGR results, earned across the Seven Wonders Series, the Alliance Series and the Trail World Tour.
• Team rankings are based on each team’s top two Summit Point results from qualifying races.
• These rankings reward year-long consistency, versatility and overall performance across different distances and terrains.

Grand Final Champion Titles

• The Grand Final Champion (individual) and Best Team Champion titles are determined solely by performance at the Grand Final.
• Grand Final results stand independent from season rankings, highlighting athletes and teams who deliver their strongest performance on the decisive day of the Championship.

   • AGR Season Champion (Individual): Awarded to the athlete with the highest total AGR score from their best three races across all Championship tiers.
   • Summit Points Season Champion (Team): Awarded to the team with the highest Summit Points total from their best two race results during the season.

   • Grand Final Champion (Individual): Awarded to the athlete with the strongest performance at the Grand Final.
   • Best Team Champion: Awarded to the team whose top two competitors achieve the highest combined Grand Final result.
3. Separate Recognition
   • Season-long champions are honoured for sustained excellence across a variety of distances, terrains and race categories.
   • Grand Final champions are celebrated for delivering exceptional performance in the most competitive event of the year.

Individual Example

An athlete accumulates the highest AGR score of the season through strong results in the Seven Wonders, Alliance and Trail World Tour races. At the Grand Final, they finish in fourth place while another athlete wins the race.

• The first athlete is crowned AGR Season Champion for consistent excellence.
• The Grand Final winner is recognised as Grand Final Champion, reflecting peak performance on the decisive day.

Team Example

A team leads the season with the highest Summit Points total across multiple races. At the Grand Final, another team’s top two athletes deliver the strongest combined result.
